The ultimate Himalayan crossover trek that sweeps you from the lush, pine-fringed valleys of Kullu and drops you right into the stark, otherworldly cold desert of Lahaul—all in a single dramatic step over the pass.
04 Night & 05 Days · Two entirely different worlds, bridged by one spectacular mountain pass.

The Journey: After assembling in Manali, take a scenic drive up to Jobra, the starting point of the trek. The trail begins right by the river and immediately plunges into lush green woods. You cross a couple of clear streams and small wooden bridges, opening up into the vast green meadows of Chika.

The Journey: A very early start is essential. The trail climbs steadily up the mountain ridges. As you approach the summit of Hampta Pass, the air becomes crisp and the panoramic views of the mighty peaks like Indrasan and Deo Tibba open up. Standing at the pass, you will witness a breathtaking contrast: the green valley of Kullu on one side and the stark, arid, cold desert mountain slopes of Lahaul on the other. The descent into Lahaul is sharp and requires careful footing on loose scree or snow.

The deep blue, crescent-shaped lake mirrors the massive peaks perfectly. After spending an hour soaking in the tranquility, drive back to Manali via Barat, Chhartu, Gramphu, Kokksar, Atal Tunnel and Solang Valley.

⚠️ Important Note: Never pack lightweight clothing thinking it's a "beginner summer trek." A minimum of 4 layers (thermal innerwear, fleece, down jacket and a windproof/waterproof outer layer) is absolutely non-negotiable for the summit day and the Shea Goru camp.
