Route: Delhi / Chandigarh to Shimla

The Journey: Upon arrival at the airport or railway station, you will be picked up and driven up into the Shivalik hills toward Shimla. On the way from Chandigarh, enjoy views of the Himalayan Expressway. Upon arrival in Shimla, check into your hotel.

The Journey: Drive past the beautiful Sunder Nagar Lake and stop for photos at the magnificent Pandoh Dam. Visit the Hanogi Mata Temple right along the highway. Stop at Kullu Valley to check out the traditional Shawl Factories or try river rafting in the Beas River (time permitting). Check into your Manali hotel by late evening.

Club House: Located about 2 km from Mall Road on the banks of the Manalsu River, this British-style amusement hub is managed by HPTDC.
Mall Road: Mall Road is the bustling, pedestrian-only nerve center of Manali. Lined with a mix of old-world charm and modern conveniences, it serves as the ultimate gathering spot for tourists and locals alike.
The Tibetan Monasteries: Located just a short walk (about 200–500 meters) from the hustle and bustle of Mall Road, the Tibetan Monasteries offer an immediate transition into profound tranquility and spiritual calm. They were established by the large population of Tibetan refugees who settled in the valley in the 1960s.
Van Vihar: A peaceful green oasis just a short walk from Mall Road. Flanked by towering deodar trees and running alongside the Beas River, it features quiet walking paths and a small man-made lake where you can go paddle boating.

Palampur Tea Gardens: Continuing about 16 km further down the highway toward Dharamshala (around 35 km before your destination), you will enter Palampur, fondly known as the "Tea Dharamshala, this ancient temple is a magnificent stop right off the main road. Built in 1204 AD by two local merchants, Ahuka and Manyuka, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Vaidyanath (the Lord of Physicians).
Arrive in Dharamshala by evening and relax.

Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary: Located roughly 12 kilometers from Dalhousie, this pristine wildlife reserve is famous for its exceptionally dense forest canopy of oak, pine and rhododendron trees. "Kalatop" translates literally to "black cap," referring to the thick, deep-tinted forest cover that blanks out the sunlight on the highest hilltops.
