🗺️ Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 01 — Kasol to Grahan Village

Trek Distance: ~7–8 km.

Time Required: 4-5 hours

Altitude Gain: 2,350 m

The Journey: The adventure begins from the backpacker haven of Kasol, moving along the rushing waters of the Grahan Nallah.

Meal: Packed lunch provided on the trail; hot dinner served at the destination.

Camp Stay: Overnight stay in a local homestay or pitched tents in the scenic camping grounds of Grahan.

Activity & Highlights: An easy-to-moderate trail winding through dense pine and rhododendron forests. There is a steep, rocky climb for the final hour before emerging into the peaceful, traditional village of Grahan (note: there is no mobile network from here onward).

Day 02 — Grahan Village to Min Thach

Trek Distance: ~7 km

Time Required: approximately 5 hours of trekking.

Altitude Gain: 3,450 m

The Journey: As you push higher, the dense forests slowly begin to yield to high-altitude alpine meadows.

Meal: Warm breakfast at Grahan, packed lunch for the trail and a hot soup and dinner at camp.

Camp Stay: Alpine meadow camping at Min Thach under a canopy of stars.

Activity & Highlights: The trail heads north with a steep climb under a dense forest canopy where little sunlight penetrates. Upon reaching Min Thach ("Thach" means meadow), you are rewarded with sweeping views of the Chanderkhani range.

Day 03 — Min Thach to Nagaru

Trek Distance: ~5–6 km.

Time Required: approximately 4 hours

Altitude Gain: 3,800 m

The Journey: A short but steep, relentless climb up a grassy ridge line to reach the highest campsite of the trek.

Meal: Hot breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the campsites.

Camp Stay: High-altitude ridge camping at Nagaru.

Activity & Highlights: The tree line completely ends today, opening up to rocky slopes and early snow patches. The Nagaru campsite sits atop a cliff ridge, offering stunning, chilly views of Manikaran town far below in the valley, along with a spectacular view of the Beas Valley peaks. Note: Tents must be secured well here as winds are incredibly strong, and temperature drops rapidly below freezing after sunset.

Day 04 — Nagaru to Biskeri Thach (via Sar Pass Summit)

Trek Distance: ~12–14 km

Time Required: approximately 7 to 9 hours

Altitude Gain: 4,222 m

The Journey: The most challenging, thrilling and longest day of the trek — crossing the pass and enjoying the famous snow slides.

Meal: A very early breakfast (with a 2:00 AM or 3:00 AM wakeup), packed lunch to eat near the pass and a warm celebratory dinner at camp.

Camp Stay: Meadow camping at the serene Biskeri Thach.

Activity & Highlights: You will climb steep snow slopes to reach the top of Sar Pass, which features a frozen, high-altitude tarn ("Sar" means lake). After enjoying 360-degree views of the Pir Panjal range, you will slide down the massive, thrilling snow slopes (nearly 1 km long!) to transition into the breathtaking alpine valley of Biskeri.

Day 05 — Biskeri Thach to Barshaini & Drive back to Kasol

Trek Distance / Time Required: ~6–8 km descent / 4 hours

Drive Distance / Time Required: ~17 km / 1 hour

The Journey: The final leg takes you down through beautiful forests and mountain villages back to the road-head.

Transport: A private jeep/cab ride from the Barshaini bridge back to your base camp in Kasol.

Meal: Breakfast at Biskeri and a farewell lunch upon reaching Kasol.

Activity & Highlights: You will hike down past pine forests and cross a stream separating the twin wooden villages of Pulga and Tulga. After crossing the Parvati River bridge at Barshaini, you'll board your transport back to Kasol.

Tour ends here with happy memories.
